Interesting article in the WSJ yesterday that discusses Google Apps, Cloud and Chromebooks. We've used Chromebooks for almost a year and I gave up my Windows PC in January to try using the Chromebook exclusively.
Now, less than a month after chromebooks' major update, I'm less sure of the short-term viability of the devices. One thing is for sure: chromebooks demand change management.

Edward Hanapole, CIO of test prep firm Kaplan was recently quoted saying that Google Apps was not well structured for Enterprise support yet.
It's difficult to compare the enterprise support structure needed for Google Apps compared to traditional software/hardware combos such as MS Office on a PC. With Google Apps there is simply less need for the legacy IT support infrastructure that has driven our IT budgets through the roof and makes Google Apps a value proposition that can't be overlooked.
So far, when we've needed them, our experience with Google Enterprise Support has been limited but fine. How about your company? Have you needed to contact or call Tech support for Google Apps? How was your experience?
