It seems like everyone is talking about the G-Suite and Salesforce integration lately. In June this year (2018), Hubspot CRM, not Salesforce CRM, actually emerged as the second to achieve the G-Suite Recommended status - and it’s the only enterprise-grade product in the category.
Back in 2017, Salesforce promised that it would eventually integrate its marketing cloud with the Google analytics platform. During the Salesforce Connections event that took place this Summer, the CRM company made good on that promise, by announcing the integration of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with Google Analytics 360.
The integration allows customers in the online world to combine their valuable data from both platforms into a single-pane-of-glass to allow for more immersive insights into customer behavior. This is an exciting update for anyone who wants to tap into the potential of the information they gather on the cloud. The question is, is the Salesforce integration really as innovative and earth-shattering as the media seems to think - or is it actually just snatching up the attention that should be going elsewhere?
Back in February of this year, there was another Google CRM announcement on the table with Hubspot - another leading CRM offering companies the chance to make more out of their customer experience data by combining HubSpot CRM with Google. As someone who's always been behind the Hubspot experience, I was keen to dive into the possibilities of the Hubspot integration a little further.
Hubspot and Google Join Forces
As mentioned above, at the beginning of this year, the leading marketing, sales, and customer experience platform, Hubspot, announced that they were expanding their already significant partnership with Google by adding Google Cloud to their infrastructure. As well as giving them the chance to add new security and enhanced data options for their customers to their marketing mix, the new partnership between Hubspot and Google also means that the company can invest more into its current Google Cloud integrations, accelerating the growth of the Hubspot CRM.
Hubspot is no stranger to partnering with Google and their impressive cloud solutions. The adoption of the cloud system into the Hubspot CRM is simply one of the steps that Hubspot will be taking this year to expand their partnership with the search engine giant. Back in 2011, Google actually got involved with an investment into HubSpot, making Hubspot a pretty long-standing advocate and customer of G-Suite. Not only that, but Google's products are pretty popular among pre-existing Hubspot customers too, as many of them make use of Gmail, AdWords, Docs, Drive, and other integrations.
In a press release about the announcement earlier this year, the Chief Strategy Officer at HubSpot, Brad Coffey, noted that the company's decision to add Google Cloud into their international cloud infrastructure was an important step in ensuring the company can offer best-in-class solutions to support the systems making up HubSpot software.
The Best Enterprise CRM Solution for G Suite Business Customers?
Obviously, Salesforce has offered a powerful integration for today's businesses. With the Salesforce implementation, you can definitely get a lot more out of your customer experience data. However, it's worth noting that Salesforce might not have been the first CRM to provide such a solution to the current marketplace. I've personally always been a huge fan of HubSpot, having embraced the Hubspot Signals app when it first began. With that in mind, we know just how powerful Hubspot’s CRM can be.
When HubSpot announced the Google Cloud integration, they noted that they'd be using the Frankfurt region Google Cloud Platform to support the management of local customer data, as well as offering data protection and outage information as needed. If you haven't explored the Hubspot experience before, then you should know that this product is pretty incredible. In fact, HubSpot offers more than 5,000 microservices in its application, including machine learning and AI, as well as a range of front-end applications for marketing, sales and customer service.
Not only are the services available from HubSpot innovative to begin with, but the product team also frequently updates the apps and services - more than 1,000 times a week in fact, to improve the customer experience and performance of the HubSpot products. By integrating with Google and G Suite, HubSpot will now allow customers around the world to access even more security, reliability and flexibility through the Google cloud.
In the February press release, HubSpot's Director of Engineering and Platform Infrastructure, Kerry Munz, noted that the coverage and speed of the Global Network offered by Google, along with it's access to some of the most innovative emerging technologies made Google integration an obvious choice for the company. Already, the business has begun to see faster-rendering speeds for their customers, stronger security, and better reliability across the globe.
Hubspot is The Only Enterprise-Level CRM with "G-Suite Recommended" Status
When Salesforce announced its integration with Google this year, the news seemed to blow all other announcements out of the water. After all, Salesforce has always had a strong reputation as a global leader in customer relationship management software. The strategic partnership with Google ensures that Salesforce can offer a more collaborative experience for customers accessing insightful data. However, it wouldn't be fair to say that Salesforce is the only CRM on the market designed to support Google customers.

If you're looking for a customer relationship management service that's going to help you to understand your customers better and make the most out of your existing Google framework, then you really can't go wrong with either HubSpot or Salesforce. Both options are excellent, and they're very equal when it comes to the features they can offer too.
Of course, from a personal standpoint, I simply know HS/G-Suite integration better than most anyone - by the way our Salesforce/G-Suite integration knowledge is also better than most.
